Yesterday evening, a big fire broke out in the areas between Çinar district of Amed and Şemrex district of Mêrdin and spread in an area of ​​66 kilometers. A wide area burned, in this area dozens of villages and hamlets suffered great damage, fields, gardens, trees and forests were all burned and thousands of animals (animals) perished. The big disaster resulted in the loss of 15 lives and 78 injured people.

Because of this great disaster, we share the grief and pain of the local people and the victims. Also, as KNK, we wish mercy to those who lost their lives, condolences to the families and all the people of Kurdistan, and speedy recovery to the injured.

A disaster this big and wide is no coincidence. According to the information coming from the area, even if nothing is intentional, the negligence, lack and defects of the administration of the state institutions have become the cause of this great disaster. The witnesses of the incident and the people of the area say that the fire started from the electricity poles and spread. The people of the region have warned the government officials many times that these electric poles are damaged and should be repaired. But the relevant institutions have not taken measures. These omissions, deficiencies, errors and omissions continue after the incident. The responsible teams did not act on time and the necessary interventions were not done on time. That’s why the disaster got bigger.

State institutions and the AKP-MHP government are responsible for this disaster. The incident should be investigated by all means and those responsible should be exposed and held accountable. In addition, the damage and loss of the victims should be compensated. The AKP-MHP government is responsible for the disaster, we strongly condemn all those responsible.

The people of that area are victims and need all kinds of help. On this, we call on all the people of Kurdistan and charity organizations to go to the region and take care of the victims. We will stand by the incident with all our strength and stand with the victims.
