On the initiative of the KNK, we, the representatives of the political parties and organizations of Kurdistan, who are representatives of the majority of the parties in Kurdistan, together with a group of independent figures, urgently gathered on 25.01.2026, in Brussels, at the central building of the KNK, and we held extensive discussions on the situation in Western Kurdistan, and we are announcing this conclusion to the public.
Today, there are very serious attacks on Western Kurdistan. The Kurdish people are once again facing a very big conspiracy. The conspirators, with their local proxies, want to eliminate the achievements of the Kurds, and impose submission on all Kurds and Kurdistan.
As the people of Kurdistan, despite the terrible attacks, we are once again going through historical moments. The political situation and balances in the Middle East are changing rapidly. This creates great dangers, but also opportunities. These are moments that, along with the dangers and risks, also bring important advantages for us Kurds. The occupying forces are mobilizing all their diplomatic, economic, political and military resources. Their desire is to block the way for the Kurds. They are doing everything to prevent the Kurds from gaining their identity rights and living freely in the current dynamics.
We, as a Kurdish nation, are currently in a critical and historical process that is taking place in Western Kurdistan. The religious establishment affiliated with the interim government in Damascus has issued an ANFAL fatwa against our people and declared Western Kurdistan a jihad (DARUL HARB). A genocidal attack is being carried out against our people in Rojava. Jihadist gangs and colonial powers like the Turkish state are using all their tools and equipment. They want to create an international front against our people.
In Western Kurdistan, our people have built the foundation of a free life thanks to the hard work and sacrifice of thousands of martyrs. As a people, we have protected not only the Middle East, but also the world from a humanitarian catastrophe by fighting ISIS gangs.
We, as political parties and organizations from the four parts of Kurdistan and abroad, say with one voice: Rojava is Kurdistan, Rojava is our national pride, and we will protect Rojava with all our strength and capabilities.
At a time like this, in order for 60 million Kurds to no longer face massacres, forced displacement, denial, arrests, torture, chemical weapons attacks, Anfal and genocide, it is necessary to unite and strengthen their unity as soon as possible. The Kurds are a nation with tens of millions of people on their land and homeland, with their own memory and faith, their own language and culture. The Kurds have been on their land for thousands of years. At this time, the Kurds have the power and can govern themselves.
On this basis, we, the representatives of the Kurdistan political parties and organizations and independent individuals participating in the meeting, announce the following points to the general public:
• To coordinate mass activities and diplomatic work in support of Rojava, a joint center should be established under the auspices of the KNK.
• To increase mass activities and other efforts in support of Rojava, February 1, 2026 should be declared as the World Day of Support for Rojava.
• We warmly greet the resistance of our people in western Kurdistan and the fighters of the SDF – YPG – YPJ, express our friendship and solidarity with them and join the decision to mobilize.
• We call on all Kurds and Kurdistanis to take advantage of this emergency situation with a spirit of mobilization, with strong support for Western Kurdistan, and to increase the resistance of Western Kurdistan through all forms of political, diplomatic and democratic work and demonstrations.
• The people of Kurdistan have established a strong unity among themselves in the streets with their great demonstrations. We call on all Kurdish parties and organizations to listen to this voice of the people and work within a national coordination.
• A national conference must be held urgently to prevent wars against the Kurds, for the freedom of all Kurdistan, to protect all the achievements of Kurds and Kurdistanis, and to protect Rojava.
• We call on the Anti-ISIS Coalition Forces and the humanitarian and democratic world not to leave the Kurdish people alone and to stand against the jihadist forces at this sensitive and delicate time.
• Resolution talks are currently being held with the Damascus government. We call on the United Nations and the Anti-ISIS Coalition to reach a just solution for this meeting, to be partners and guarantors.
• The Kurdish issue is not just an issue of a few Middle Eastern countries, but has become a global issue and a solution must be found for it. On this basis, we call on the United Nations and global powers to urgently convene an international conference under the auspices of the United Nations to resolve the Kurdish issue.
