Every day of the year and on the 15th of May, may the celebration of the Kurdish language be blessed among us!

The state has historically oppressed us, and our mothers, who are the educators of the Kurdish language, have paved the way for our language to thrive in the land of Kurdistan. The Kurdish language has remained alive. With the vitality and sweetness of the Kurdish language, we celebrate the 15th of May as Kurdish Language Day with our people.

For many years, from the time of colonialism to the present day of occupation, the Kurdish people have faced oppression and hardship while striving to preserve their language and national identity. With their plans and efforts, they have worked to revive and protect the Kurdish language and culture. However, our people have historically resisted the demands and objectives of their enemies, working tirelessly to maintain their language, making sacrifices, and paying a high price.

Today, the 15th of May, which has become the Kurdish Language Day through the decision of a KNK conference, our people joyfully and proudly celebrate this day, which is a place of happiness, respect, and recognition.

This year is different from every other year, filled with warmth and great enthusiasm, especially in the northern and western parts of Kurdistan. This is a clear and successful preparation and activity focused on the Kurdish language and culture, and we celebrate it. We hope that in the coming years, our great Kurdistan will achieve freedom and prosperity, and that every day of the year and the 15th of May will be celebrated as a day of success and the realization of all the rights of our people.

Language is the identity of every nation; it is essential to protect our language. The Kurdish language is the existence of the Kurdish nation and our identity!

May every day of the year and the 15th of Gulan be a blessed celebration of the Kurdish language for Kurds in and beyond Kurdistan!
